Open and close your till (start & end of shift)
Start your shift with a cash count and close it cleanly at the end of the day.
Open your shift
When you arrive, open the Point of Sale. If no shift is open, a banner asks you to start one — tap Open Shift, count the cash already in the drawer, and type it into the Opening Cash Float (₦) box. (Sales reps are set to ₦0 automatically.)
Sell as normal
Every sale you make is tied to your shift, so the day's takings are tracked under your name automatically.
Close at the end
When you're done, tap Close Shift. The screen shows the Expected cash in drawer — count the real cash and enter it. The system compares the two and flags any difference. You can also record a cash expense here for any payouts you made during the shift.
If you can't close (manager force-close)
If the drawer doesn't balance and you're not allowed to force it closed, a manager can approve a force-close with their PIN. Your shift never closes on its own — it always waits for a person.
